We saw Martina McBride here in November. The seats were comfortable and the ushers friendly. We parked at a public lot but the charge for special events is $20. You can park on the street but you may have to walk. This City , just north of Boston, has seen better days to be sure. We used the iPhone GPS to get us there - not the easiest place to find. I don't think the place is scary as long as you don't try too far from the active area around the hall. The concert was very good, in fact inspired at times, but the equipment McBride used was enough to fill a hall three times this size with sound.

We went to see Who's Bad - The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band. We had a great time. There are several restaurants in the area, plenty of free parking. The show was good and staff was great, was a little loud for my son and one of the ushers provided earplugs for us. Beer and wine are available for purchase. I would see another show here.

We have enjoyed an eclectic mix of shows at The Lynn Auditorium from its Grand Opening with Kieth Lockhart and the Boston Pops, to Chaz Palminiteri, to Kenny Rogers, to B.B.King to Celtic Women and most recently, The Irish Tenors. The Auditorium is welcoming and the acoustics are great. With only 1200 seats, it is an intimate experience. The beer and wine are reasonably priced, the staff is courteous and well-trained. There is plenty of free parking within walking distance of the auditorium and while usuallyhappyguy said he felt the area was unsafe, that was not our experience at all. We have eaten at both the Blue Ox (outstanding) and Rosettis(excellent Italian fare) and walked the few blocks to the auditorium. Granted it is in a downtown urban area that is not bustling in the evening, but there was nothing that made us feel unsafe! Additionally, there were police officers posted in front of the auditorium to assist with pedestrian traffic and were very helpful in directing us to free parking when we stopped and asked. There was a police officer inside the auditorium which I only noticed because I wanted to ask him to thank the officer who assisted us. Great shows and great venue! A true value and a wonderful experience! We are sure to be back and we are happy to share our wonderful experience with anyone who id interested!

While the employees at the auditorium were pleasant and the venue very good, it's unfortunate that the surrounding area is a scary place. Being our first time to the venue, we weren't sure where to park and ended up paying $20 to have a short walk in a location that felt less than safe.

Attended the concert Boz Scaggs October 17th 2014 bringing two friends from Nova Scotia. I was shocked at the rudeness of the audience, the inability of the ushers to seat people in their proper seats, lack of security and massive disruptions throughout the entire show. Lynn should be ashamed at advertising this venue and charging high prices with no consideration to the patrons who came to enjoy a great evening. We won't be back and will make sure we share our experience with anyone interested.

I have seen many shows at the auditorium; B.B. King w/ Quinn Sullivan, Tedeschi Trucks band, Edgar Winter, Blues shows. Not a bad seat in the house, the sound is great, and now air conditioning. Great small (1,200 people) venue for some pretty good music. They also host, Irish Women Chorus shows, Gay Men's Choir, As they say, . . ."Try it you'll (Love) it. Look up, Lynn Memorial Auditorium, for upcoming shows.

I have been to several concerts and events there and it is a jewel of a "house". There really isn't a bad seat in the place and the acoustics are very good. They have booked some great acts in there and the prices are reasonable. Check out their website-you're sure to find something you want to go see/hear,

I should mention that I grew up in Lynn, and as an adult have conducted business occasionally for my elderly mother at Lynn City Hall. So coming here is like a trip down memory lane for me. The show we saw was "The Fab Four", which was terrific. The accoustics were not great, and the seating is not graduated enough to assure a good view for all, but all things considered, the show was very much worth the price of admission. There were a few police officers to help cross us at busy City Hall Square, and there were several ticket takers making it an easy entry. There are several parking options within short walking distance, as well as a couple of really good restaurants (Rossetti's and Blue Ox, for example). All in all, we would recommend a visit to the auditorium!

Went to the Southside Johnny & Asbury Jukes shows. The sound was a little on the loud side but not painful, and the band put on a great show. Now, about the Lynn Aud. Well, it's got all the atmosphere of a municipal building. Oh wait, that's right, it's in City Hall. And, unfortunately, City Hall is in the middle of downtown Lynn. And downtown Lynn on a Saturday night has all the energy of, uh, I don't know, West Skowhegan? No disrespect to West Skowhegan intended. Restaurants? Yeah, like 1 or 2. Brew pubs? Gastro pubs? Food trucks? No, no and no.The building is about what you'd expect for the seat of government. It's seen better days. Seats were comfy and the sightlines good. Hallways and bathrooms were right out of a 1960's high school (hall passes not required). But there's good news too -- plenty of free parking because, well, there's nothing else happening downtown on a Saturday night. Oh yeah, I guess I mentioned that. So, eat in another city on the North Shore with a pulse ... drive to Lynn ... park for free ... see the show ... walk back to your car ... leave and find some place interesting to end the night before you head home.

I have been to a few of the shows and they are just Fantastic. You can see everything from every seat in the house. Refreshment are available. Great date night. The new AC will really be great for the summer venues. Prices are reasonable.

Great place to catch a concert without all the hassels or expense of going to Boston, haven't been since they put in AC, should improve the experience

This is a great place to see a concert. It is a fairly small auditorium so no matter where you sit you are not that far away from the stage.
